Part time position: Ebenezer Administrative Assistant
Hours: P/T position, approximately 20 hours per week. Ideally, hours would be somewhere in the vicinity of 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. (Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri), but there is some room for flexibility.
Direct report: Church Pastor
- Answer phone and check voice messages.
- Communicate regularly with pastor on scheduling issues and urgent needs
- Fill out the online Vital Congregations Form each week.
- Send out Letters of transfer when a member joins from another UMC.
- Compile the Sundaybulletin
- Regularly update the membership list
- Keep church directory updated
- Provide updates for church website and Facebook page
- Assist with content for Ebenezer newsletter
- Maintain the church calendar
- Help promote/market/advertise our wedding ministry
- Help promote/market/advertise special events (VBS, Easter, Christmas, BBQ, etc.)
Job requirements: Enjoy working with people and have a servant’s heart; proficiency using Word and/or Publisher software; good writing and grammar skills.
